Having never actually had the privilege of visiting New York I guess I can’t fully understand or take in the devastating impact of the horrific events I’ve been watching unfold as they are beamed all over the world. All I can do is send my deepest sympathies and thoughts to those who have lost loved ones or those who have in even the slightest way been affected by the tragic happenings of the last 24 hours.
These thoughts probably mean little at this present time and in no way can compensate for those many lives lost and ruined. I only hope and pray that people directly affected, New York City, the USA and the world as a whole can somehow come to terms with this horrific event and come out a stronger and more united people on the other side in a fight against such evil.
May those innocent people who lost their lives be forever remembered and loved and those who are responsible for this evil attack be found and pay for their actions.

| As a New Yorker currently living in Hong Kong, I watched the devastating events on TV even before some of the people back home knew what was happening. It was eerie because although HK is 12 hours ahead of NY, the live coverage made me feel like I was right there in front of the Twin Towers. I have walked thru the South Tower almost everyday for the past 2 years. When I left NYC, I didn't know it would be the last time I would hear the conductor on the E subway train saying, "Last stop, World Trade Center. Last stop, World Trade Center." |
